Class Schedule

Our NYS pistol permit course is organized so it’s easy to plan around work and family.

Day 1 & 2 (Classroom): 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Working lunch begins around 12:00 PM

• Pizza is provided for lunch

• Coffee is provided

Day 3 (Range Day): 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (approximately 2 hours)

• There are no bathrooms on the range

• Food is not provided on range day

• Please dress for the weather and wear a belt

• (If you have a specific question about timing or how the days are split, contact us—our goal is to make the process easy to understand and easy to follow.)

What to Bring (Simple)

Most people overthink this part. Here’s what you need:

• Bring a valid ID. - That’s it.

We provide the rest, including:

• Hearing protection

• Safety glasses

• Firearm rentals

• Ammunition

• Pizza and coffee

 

Everything is included so you don’t have to scramble to find gear, worry about what’s allowed, or spend extra money on equipment just to complete training.

Do I Need Experience? What If I’ve Never Handled a Gun Before?

If you’ve never handled a firearm before, you’re in good company. The majority of our NY pistol permit students are first-timers, and that’s exactly who we’re set up to serve. We understand nerves are normal, especially before live fire. Our instructors guide you step by step and keep the pace controlled, safe, and respectful.

​Our training approach is simple:

You don’t need to show up “already confident.” That’s what the class is for.

Live Fire Qualification (Range Day)

​

Range day is the part many students worry about most—especially if they’re new. We structure range day to be straightforward and supportive. You’ll be coached through expectations and safety procedures, and the focus remains on safe handling and fundamentals. Our instructors are there to guide you through the process and help you stay comfortable while building competence.

Important: There are no bathrooms on the range and food is not provided for that portion. Plan accordingly so you’re not distracted and can focus fully on the training.

 

Cost and What’s Included

Your total cost for the full program is $450—that’s $150 per class, and there are three classes total. Your price includes what you need for training, including the equipment we provide and the food/coffee offerings referenced above.

We run this course with a “show up and we’ve got you” mindset—especially for first-time students. That means fewer surprises and a smoother experience.
